External Rotary Broach Tool

Polygon Solutions is expanding it's offering of rotary broach tools with external rotary broaches. External rotary broaches can be used to create external hexagons, squares and other forms at the ends of metal work pieces. The process is extremely versatile, and can work in lathes, mills, VMCs and manual machines. The broach is held at a one degree angle, and as it turns with the part, the cutting edge continually rotates to the point of contact. Rotary broaching is a fast operation, designed for use with small, shallow depths.
